Our research group at the University of Puerto Rico – Mayagüez explores the theoretical and computational foundations of soft matter and complex fluids, focusing on the hydrodynamics and microstructure of colloidal suspensions. We use advanced simulations, enhanced by data-driven methods, to reveal the physicochemical principles governing colloids. Applications include soft robotics, biomedical microdevices, and environmental remediation, with AI accelerating materials discovery, optimization, and system design.
