Dr. Ubaldo Córdova is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual to provide operational and administrative support to his research group. The selected candidate will serve as a Project Coordinator, helping ensure continuity of operations, compliance with project requirements, effective document management, and the successful execution of logistical and administrative activities.

This position requires initiative, strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and a high sense of responsibility, urgency, and professionalism.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the coordination and management of project activities to ensure compliance with sponsor and agency requirements.

  • Prepare reports, work plans, progress updates, and other technical and administrative documents.

  • Analyze and map data related to resources, processes, and operations using engineering tools and methodologies.

  • Design and implement workflow improvements to enhance operational efficiency and optimize resource utilization.

  • Assist with the preparation, organization, and submission of research proposal documentation.

  • Maintain accurate records and track project transactions, budgets, and administrative activities.

  • Serve as a liaison between the Principal Investigator (PI), research team members, collaborators, and external stakeholders.

  • Coordinate logistics, scheduling, and administrative processes related to meetings, events, site visits, and project activities.

  • Maintain and organize electronic files within Microsoft 365 environments (OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams), including version control and access management.

  • Manage correspondence and follow up on administrative matters via email, phone, and in-person communications.

  • Provide administrative and operational support as needed to ensure the smooth functioning of the research group.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.

  • Experience in project management, project coordination, administrative operations, or similar roles.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.

  • Strong sense of urgency, accountability, organization, discretion, and professionalism.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Experience supporting research projects, academic environments, or sponsored programs is highly desirable.

  • Availability to perform in-person administrative tasks and attend meetings when required.
